
App Fatigue and the Consequences of Feigning Convenience

Multifamily communities aiming for convenience through multiple dedicated resident apps often end up overwhelming users. In this fragmented digital environment, such as rent payments in one app, amenities booking in another and packages managed elsewhere, might lead to 鈥渁pp fatigue.鈥 Rather than fostering efficiency, disconnected systems increase friction. This can erode resident satisfaction, engagement and brand loyalty.
Residents expect a seamless experience with fewer steps, intuitive navigation and unified access. Residents crave simplicity and usability, and siloed platforms can cause frustration and drive residents away. Thoughtfully approaching and implementing each resident interface will improve user experience, efficiency, retention and data-driven decisions.
